    LEXINGTON, Ky. – Former Women’s National Basketball Association assistant coach Jeff House has been hired as an assistant coach for the University of Kentucky women’s basketball program, UK head coach Matthew Mitchell announced Wednesday.

    Sixth-year softball head coach Rachel Lawson, who took over the program in July 2007, earned her 182nd win as UK's head coach on Wednesday, becoming the all-time winningest head coach in program history.

  3. Wildcats Finish Eighth at Gary Koch Invitational

    The University of Kentucky men’s golf team concluded their final round at the Gary Koch Invitational in Tampa, Fla., on Tuesday, shooting a 19-over-par, 307 to finish in eighth place of the 14-team field. The Wildcats were 22-over for the tournament, recording top-10 team finishes in all six of their spring tournaments.

  4. O'Brien, Cumbess Lead No. 18 Softball to Historic Day

    The No. 18 University of Kentucky softball team used strong performances in the circle and at the plate Wednesday to sweep its doubleheader against Eastern Kentucky University, making sixth-year head coach Rachel Lawson the winningest head coach in school history. UK claimed game one, 6-2 before a come-from-behind effort to win game two, 4-3. Both games were played at Gertrude Hood Field in Richmond, Ky.
